SOPHIA BÖSCH
DIRECTOR/WRITER
Sophia is a Swiss-Swedish-German filmmaker based in Berlin. After her film studies at the Art Academies of Stockholm and Göteborg, Sophia studied directing at Film University Babelsberg. She holds a Bachelor and a Master of Fine Arts in Film Directing.
Her graduation Short RÅ premiered at the 68th Berlinale and went on to win numerous national and international awards, amongst others the German Short Film Award and the Studio Hamburg Nachwuchspreis.
Her previous short films won amongst others the Swiss Upcoming Filmmakers Award and the German Short Tiger Award.
Sophia’s dystopian debut feature film “Milk Teeth” opened the Big Screen Competition at the International Film Festival Rotterdam 2024, travelled the world, and was sold to various platforms before its theatrical release in Germany and Switzerland.
