Katrin Näher brings more than twenty years of experience and broad multicultural knowledge to her client’s careers. Her career began in Munich and Barcelona where she worked as a translator, exchanging works of literature across Spanish, English, and German. She then began working with a literary agency in Munich, an agency which represented German writers and also served as a subagency for some of the most well-known British and American publishers and agencies.

In 2002, Katrin transitioned into film representation, and in 2009 she joined Above the Line. She has represented many of her clients for the ensuing twenty years, fostering their careers over the course of decades.

As one of Talent Republic’s four CEOs, Katrin represents writers, directors, and cinematographers.

ASSISTANT

Anne Engel studied film and television with a focus on direction. Beginning in 2012, she worked for a film production company in Berlin as team assistant and later as production assistant. Since 2016, she has been supporting Katrin Näher, initially at Above the Line and now at Talent Republic in the scriptwriters, directors, and DoP department.
